How do you spell loser? P-E-R-E-S

A small part of me - a very, very small part of me - really feels for Shimon Peres. Let's be honest, as much as I am against just about everything he represents in this world, one has to admire his inner strength.

Shimon Peres just lost yet another election. This time, the election to determine the head of the Labor party, to political newbie, Amir Peretz. This election wasn't even supposed to be close, especially not with 2 other candidates (Barak and Vilani) pulling out and supporting Peres - and yet he finds a way to lose.

I wonder how he gets up in the morning? The guy has to know he's a loser, and yet he still appears in public with his half-brained political ideas (such as Oslo) and keeps running in elections which he has to know by now that he will never, ever win.

What an inspiration!

Here's the highlight of the latest Peres defeat (as reported by Ha'aretz):
Vice Premier Shimon Peres has appealed against his defeat in a vote for Labor Party chairman because he believes there were voting irregularities.

Shimon... I would have expected you to have figured it out by now. There is nothing irregular about the other guy in the election finishing with more votes than you. The only time you ever need worry about voting irregularities is if you ever find yourself in the position of having won an election - in which case a full investigation will be warranted.

Zeev - I'll be blogging on this shortly. Peres is the world's biggest loser (yet he's the Prime Minister of Pollistan, with a 90% approval rating).

The problem is that Peretz is just as bad...an economic terrorist, who is just as bad for the country.

I guess you could say - a "lose-lose-loser" situation.

He may lose elections, but his policies get carried out by others.

Peres may be a "loser", but we knew what he stood for. Has he been replaced with someone who could be more harmful to Israel?

Anonymous, while we may not know exactly what Peretz stands for, we know what Labor stands for, and that is bad enough...

Peretz is clear what he stands for: Socialism. Not much else.
