More Israel Trivia

Which Israeli of note said the following words? (Bonus points for when):
“We must prevent a situation of an insufficient Jewish majority ....There is room for a non-Jewish minority on condition that it accepts the destiny of the State vis-a-vis the Jewish people, culture and tradition. The minority is entitled to equal rights as individuals with respect to their distinct religion and culture, but not more than that.”

The quote is from Rabin. Not sure when, but my guess would be during his first premiership.

I've heard it before, that I'm sure of.

Joe Settler's nailed it. Obviously Rabin would say that, and then ignore it years later.

No Surprise.

Hey, Joe - Do you know exactly what time of day he said it, and what he eaten for breakfast that day?

Ze'ev: Certain things are best unsaid to prevent undue embarassment to the Rabin Family.

You wouldn't want the kikar in Tel Aviv to be un-named for him now, would you?

Jameel - what are you talking about? There's a kikar named after Rabin in Tel Aviv?

And I was trying ot figure out where Kikar Malchei Yisrael went.... now it all makes sense...

Afterall, who needs kings, when we can have Rabin.
