Daat Y, Mobius and PP... keep guessing... (and I didn't get a penny either)...

My guess would actually have been 1967 - 1969. The why - mad nutter settlers drawn by the chance to rape and pillage the newly conquered land. But then it may also be during the setting up of Efrat when Rav Riskin brought his whole community, which was a fair bit later. Oh darn this - I am off to google!

Haim... seems like you ave a whole bunch of different answers there... This wasn't a multiple choice question - one answer plase...
BUT - since you said you were going to google I have disqualified you from answering further until the answer is revealed by someone who hasn't "cheated".
Sorry, but those are the rules...

No - there was one clear answer and then just me going back on myself - the clear answer being the only years I actually wrote - 67-69 (post conquest)

Haim, have you ever thought about entering politics?
It takes talent to come up with an answer like that...

I still haven't googled. I think I am right, no?

I was going to guess 1968-1970.

NG, you're getting warmer... and you didn't answer the why...

1973-75, because Israel struck peace with Egypt? That's when my parents *almost* moved. (grumble)
Had you not said warmer, I might have said 1949-51.

Ok - 74 - 76 (post Yom Kippur War, including when Efrat was founded. I did google but didn't get the answer. The why - Gush Emunim.

Ezzie, "Peace" with Egypt wasn't signed until 1979...
Were you grumbling b/c your parents almost moved to Israel, or b/c they didn't?
Haim, you're getting colder...

Check out my latest post: The Aliyah Revoloution - for the answer

Heh - I got my dates mixed up - I was thinking post '73 Yom Kippur War...
I was grumbling because they didn't. I grumbled again a few years ago, when I realized that almost all their friends and relatives live in Israel. Now I see they can't, but I'm still hoping they will soon anyway. My in-laws are looking to...
