Oh, Please...

(Likely reaction of acting Prime minister, Ehud Olmert, to Channel 10 poll)

Everyone knows that election polls must be taken with a grain of salt, but the latest poll conducted by Israel's Channel 10, which sought to determine which Kadima personality would be the best to lead the party in the upcoming elections, exceeds all bounds of reality:
The survey revealed that Kadima, with Peres at its head, would earn 42 mandates if the elections were held Thursday. In contrast, Kadima front-runners, Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Justice Minister Tzippi Livni would earn 40 and 38 mandates respectively.

Are you kidding me?

Is this poll implying that Shimon Peres is as popular as Ariel Sharon?

Is this poll implying that even if Shimon Peres is as popular as Sharon that he has the same vote-drawing power as Sharon?

Is this poll implying that Shimon Peres, a man who has NEVER, EVER won an election in his life, is the candidate who can bring in the most seats to Kadima - AND, be elected as Israel's next Prime Minister?

Come on...

True, Sharon's removal from political life has thrown the political scene into chaos, but I think it would take much more than this for Shimon Peres to actually win an election - we're talking about a man who couldn't beat Amir Peretz!!!

Get real...

HAHA, I was about to write a piece about that, and you beat me to it. It's such a ridiculous thing, these crazy 'ole polls.

I have it on good advice that Shimon Peres in fact won an election in High School for the "Most likely to become a complete loser" award.

I admire the man, but there is no denying that if you were to string out his DNA, it would spell "Loser".

Haim, seeing this comment from you just brings a smile to my face...

Knowing Peres, before he dies he'll try to clone himself, thus preserving his "legacy".

I thought he already had - how else can one explain Yossi Beilin?

So, Yossi Beilin is Peres' "Mini-Me"? Yikes!

And to think that you are a member of Beilin's party in spite of your dislike for Peres...
